What We Do

The UWM Tech Task Team (TTT) is a task team put in place to help Unity field ministries with technological challenges.

Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.
— Steve Jobs

Our Purpose

To support the vision of UWM by providing an environment and the appropriate resources to support and train the field ministries in the various areas of technological competence.

Our History

In 2017, the UWM 2030 Focus Forward Task Team decided to initiate a subteam researching the technological challenges and opportunities in the future. That team soon realized that the actual challenges are not in the future but right here and now. Many Unity field ministries were and are still stuck in the last millennia technologically speaking. While our focus into the future was valuable and certainly guided some of our efforts, our team decided to become more active addressing the problems of today.

As a result, in August 2018, the UWM Board of Trustees approved a proposal to establish a dedicated Tech Task Team to support field ministries in matters of technology. Since then our team has developed various projects focused on the immediate needs of the field, including live streaming, church management, and online education and communication.

Today, we are expanding our efforts by offering our resources and findings online in support of our field ministries. We continue to keep our communication open with the field so we can learn their needs and support them even better.
